POPPYN #6: Presenting Our Perspective on PLANET Youth News
For our 6th episode, POPPYN followed Philly youth as they traveled outside the city and around the world to volunteer, play sports and organize for issues they believe in.

We're kicking off POPPYN Episode #6 with buildOn, a non-profit organization that empowers youth through service initiatives in the US and abroad. They recently hosted their year end celebration. POPPYN attended and learned about their local initiatives as well as opportunities for students to travel abroad. So check it out and see what you learn.

Man In A Cell
Michael Ta'ban, a former prisoner, spent the entire month of February in a makeshift jail cell in an attempt to make the public aware of what it's like to be in prison, and to help put an end to violence in our community. Friends, family, and people from the community, visited him to show their support and listen to his story. . .

Youth Of The Year
Everyday, youth in our community do great things in school, out of school, at home, and even at their local church. In this week's segment, Pinn Memorial Baptist Church decided to recognize a few youth who have gone above and beyond what is asked and expected of them.
